St. Therese L.P. School, Shoranur was began as purely Malayalam Medium school in the year 1929.
The purpose of starting the school was for the education of Girls specially those of the officials of Railway who were settled from different parts of Kerala.
We are following the State syllabus. Lately we have begun English Medium Parallel sections too.
Keeping the motto of institute, “Love Serves” we form the children spiritually awakened, socially oriented and morally upright.
We provide opportunities for daily prayer, listening to the Bhajans, Moral Science and Catechism classes to impart values in their young hearts. Give values by celebrating the days of national and social importance through various activities. Regular assemblies are conducted in a creative way. Special days are specially noted by putting up pictures and thoughts on the Notice Boards. Importance is given to extra curricular activities and given chances to participate in school, sub district and district levels through which their all round personality is developed. Through regular Class P.T.A.’s we keep in touch with the parents in order to know the children better. Orientation classes are given to the Teachers by the Govt. as well as by the Management in order to update them.
