Madonna AUP School started on 26th May 1939, at the request of the people of Kasaragod for a secondary school. It was a Kannada medium school for girls. In the beginning nearly fifty years it was the only convent school in Kasargod and from far away students came to study. The Institution grew within a short time. On 27th May 1940 foundation stone was laid for the new school and was blessed on 11th October. In 1942 a school shed was built along side of the block and that kept the students together. The strength of the students steadily increased. On 14th June 1947 we got the sanction from DPI to convert our VI-VIII STD to I ,II and III forms .
In 1958 Malayalam parallel sections were opened. At present we have classes from 1st to VII std both Kannada and Malayalam medium.
