CHRIST KING COMMUNITY COLLEGE, TAMBARAM (2016)

The Inauguration Blessing of Christ King Community College took place on 8th September 2016 at 10 a.m., led by Rev. Fr. Roch Ignatius, the parish priest of Fathima Shrine. Rev. Fr. Backia Regis, Vicar General of Chingalput Diocese, was also present at the ceremony. The former Tailoring Center was converted into a Community College, introducing courses in Fashion Designing and Nursing. The college is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Open University. Sr. Maria Karunya serves as the Director, with Sr. Pauline Therese as the Coordinator. This initiative greatly benefits the local community, promoting self-sufficiency.

Sr. M. Silvina was responsible for the Fashion Designing Centre. We pay our homage and respect to Sr. M. Silvina, who passed away in December 2016, and to Sr. Maria Karunya, who passed on 14th September 2017.
