FATIMAGIRI ENGLISH SCHOOL, NILAMBUR (1971)
Nilambur is a densely populated suburban area, where educational development has lagged due to the socio-economic background of its residents, many of whom are marginal farmers and estate workers. In response to the community’s needs, the Apostolic Carmel Sisters established a school on June 1, 1971, in Chandakkunnu, Nilambur, Malappuram District, Kerala, located along the Calicut–Ooty road, starting with just six students. This school remained a primary school for the first 27 years.
In 1999, the school was upgraded to a high school, and since then, Fatimagiri English School has gained recognition as one of the top schools in the country, achieving excellence across academics, arts, and sports. For the past thirteen years, the school has consistently achieved a 100% pass rate in the AISSE exams, with most students earning high distinctions and first-class grades.
Further growth was marked in 2011 when the school was upgraded to a senior secondary level. Today, the school stands out not only for academic achievements but also for excellence in various extracurricular activities. We promote academic excellence while providing ample opportunities for participation in events like Kids Fest, Sahodaya Kalotsav, Athletics, Football, Cricket, and Basketball. Our students are encouraged to explore and exhibit their talents and abilities, whether in academics or cultural activities, allowing each child to reach their full potential.
