GOOD SHEPHERD MATRICULATION SCHOOL, SULEESWARANPATTI, POLLACHI (2007)

The Apostolic Carmel Sisters arrived in Pollachi in 2006, with Sisters Rosilina, Kirthana, and Jacintha Maria initially working in the school under the management of Mr. George, the correspondent of Good Shepherd Matriculation School.

On March 20, 2007, the Apostolic Carmelites purchased the school from Mr. George and took over its management. The local community looked upon the Sisters with great expectation in the field of education. Sr. Elizabeth became the first Principal after the management transition, and under her leadership, the school extended quality education, allowing students to experience the charism of our Congregation.

In 2009, Sr. Jacintha Maria took charge of the school, and since then, we have consistently secured a 100% pass rate in the 10th public examinations. Our students are taught to respect and love the poor and needy, and we provide them with opportunities to express their love for nature and take care of their surroundings.

A significant turning point in our mission in Pollachi occurred in 2016, when we constructed a new school building equipped with all the necessary facilities required by the Educational Department. Both students and parents are pleased with the new environment. We are excited to announce that we will be starting +2 classes in the next academic year.
