LSN INSTITUTE OF TEACHER EDUCATION(1942)

Bring up the girl child with value-oriented education who will, in turn, become ever loyal to the values that she has imbibed. She will be spiritually oriented, intellectually well-informed, physically fit, emotionally well-balanced, and socially aware.

The mission is to educate the girls of the locality, giving importance to the poor and weaker sections irrespective of caste, creed, and religion.

LSN TTI ensures effective systematic teacher education, which helps to maintain quality education at the school level. Along with academic excellence, a special focus is given to instill the value of faith in God, respect for human dignity, commitment to justice, sincerity in action, willingness to forgive, and service to all.

The year 1942 marks an epoch in the history of LSN School. Miss D. Souza, the Board inspectress, requested Superior General Mother Josephine to open a Secondary Training School with Malayalam as the medium of instruction, and Sr. Eanswide A.C. was given the charge. In 1951, the Lower Primary Section was extracted from the High School and joined to the Training School as its feeder school.

At present, there is a three-storied building with two assembly halls, a well-equipped science lab for D.Ed students, which the L.P. classes share at times. There are also two computer labs for D.Ed and L.P. sections, as well as a library with sufficient books for reference for both teachers and D.Ed students.

Besides studies, co-curricular activities are given importance. In youth festivals and other competitions, both D.Ed and L.P. students come out with flying colors. By the grace of Almighty God, we aspire to fulfill the designs for LSN.

Over 75 years, LSN TTI has gifted excellent teachers to society. The students trained in LSN TTI get placements in aided, unaided, and government services, and the authorities are pleased with their performance.
