MADONNA U.P. SCHOOL, KASARAGOD (1939)
Vision & Mission: Educate the girls & Impart values
Madonna AUP School started on 26th May 1939, at the request of the people of Kasaragod for a secondary school. It was a Kannada medium school for girls. In the beginning, for nearly fifty years, it was the only convent school in Kasaragod, and students came from far away to study. The institution grew within a short time. On 27th May 1940, the foundation stone was laid for the new school and was blessed on 11th October. In 1942, a school shed was built alongside the block, which kept the students together. The strength of the students steadily increased. On 14th June 1947, we got the sanction from DPI to convert our VI-VIII STD to I, II, and III forms.
In 1958, Malayalam parallel sections were opened. At present, we have classes from 1st to VII STD in both Kannada and Malayalam medium.
