ST. ANTONY’S PUNCHIRI NURSERY SCHOOL, VADAKARA (1966)

In 1966, the public requested the opening of a nursery class and promised aid for its construction. One of our benefactors, the Punchiri family, donated a large sum and requested that the nursery class be named “Punchiri.” It was officially opened on August 19, 1966.

The Punchiri Nursery School has since been renovated and now meets the standards of a fully-fledged Malayalam Nursery School, the only one in our Province. Currently, it has a strength of 82 little ones, with four staff members and Sr. Maria Sujitha serving as the headmistress. Due to its high performance, there is great demand for admission to the school.
