The purpose of our school is the all-round development of girls in the locality. St. Therese School started on January 19th, 1929, for the education of girls in the area. In May 1961, the L.P. section was separated, and a new Headmistress was appointed. In 1980, the golden jubilee of our school was celebrated, and a new block was erected. In 1985, the English Medium School was closed down, but it was renewed in 1992. In 1997, a separate building for the L.P. school was constructed. The Plus Two section was started in 1998. We began with a meager 30 students and now boast a strength of 1200 pupils in the H.S. section. We celebrated the Platinum Jubilee in 2005.

At present, there are 50 dedicated teachers and more than 1500 students. By seeing God in man and expressing God’s love through love for our neighbor, we strive to serve God’s people through education. We have a well-equipped computer lab and a smart classroom for the H.S. and U.P. sections. The computer lab now has more than 25 computers and laptops. In 2015, the high school block was renovated for greater stability. A basketball court has also been installed on our premises. Our kitchen is partly fueled by a bio-gas plant, and we have a vermi-compost unit installed here.

We have achieved many laurels in both the curriculum and co-curriculum arenas. Many of our students have been rank holders from 1961 to 2005, and we have consistently maintained a 100% pass rate in the SSLC examinations.

The school provides Catholic education for the pupils, improves the social and cultural standards of society, and raises the economic and moral status of the people. We have succeeded in maintaining a respectable place in society over the years.
