ST.THERESE L.P. SCHOOL SHORANUR (1929)
St. Therese L.P. School, Shoranur, began as a purely Malayalam medium school in the year 1929. The purpose of starting the school was to provide education for girls, especially those of railway officials who had settled from different parts of Kerala. We are currently following the State syllabus and have recently introduced English medium parallel sections as well.
Upholding the motto of the institution, “Love Serves,” we aim to foster spiritually awakened, socially oriented, and morally upright children. We provide opportunities for daily prayer, listening to bhajans, and conducting Moral Science and Catechism classes to instill values in their young hearts.
We celebrate days of national and social importance through various activities, giving importance to extracurricular participation at the school, sub-district, and district levels to aid in the all-round development of our students’ personalities. Regular assemblies are conducted creatively, and special days are highlighted by displaying pictures and thoughts on the notice boards.
We maintain communication with parents through regular Class PTAs to better understand the children. Additionally, orientation classes are provided to teachers by both the government and the management to keep them updated on best practices.
